Junga (Vijay Sethupathi), is the son of gangster Ranga (Vijay Sethupathi), and grandson of Linga (Vijay Sethupathi again). But the problem with Junga’s dad and grandad is that they spent lavishly on food, clothes and booze and due to this costly lifestyle, they lose all their wealth and pledges their Cinema Paradise theater to Chettiyaar (Suresh Menon).
Motivated by the life story of his dad and grand-dad, Junga becomes a stingy gangster and earns a Crore to get back his theater but Chettiyaar throws him out of his palace. A wounded Junga decides to kidnap Chettiyaar’s only daughter Yazhini (Sayyeshaa) who lives in Paris and blackmail her dad!! Will the funny don and his assistant Yoyo (Yogi babu) be successful?
Gokul tries to follow the dark comedy genre, which worked for him in Idharkku Thaane Aasaipattai Balakumara. To be honest, Junga tickle our funny bones in a few sequences but the comedy falls flat in few scenes. Although the lengthy dialogue of Vijay Sethupathi summarizing the entire story in the pre-climax was adorable, his comic timing has not been worked out in most of the scenes. The climax chasing scenes are unbelievable and too long.
